The 1971 adapter mounts onto the jaws of most Park Tool repair stands to hold D-shaped seat posts more securely by converting a jaw profile into a flat surface.
This is useful for bikes with D-shape seat posts and other "non-traditional" designs that would otherwise not have an ideal contact surface in the mounting clamp of the workstand and therefore cannot be clamped securely.
Installation:
The 1971 adapter is designed so that it simply fits over the existing clamping jaw covers. This ensures quick and safe installation.
Compatible with the following Park Tool workstands:
• PCS-9.2 and PCS-9.3
• PCS-10.2 and PCS-10.3
• 100-3D Micro-adjustment clamp (e.g. for PRS-2.2, PRS-2.3, PRS-3.2, PRS-3.3, PRS-33.2)
• 100-5D Micro-adjustment clamp (e.g. for PCS-4)
• 100-25D Micro-adjustment clamp (e.g. for PRS-25 and PRS-26)
