Maxxis Aspen ST EXO MaxxSpeed MTB Folding Tyre

Fractions of a second are often decisive on short-track XC courses. This is exactly what the MAXXIS Aspen ST was developed for. With its ultra-flat tread, the tyre is consistently aimed at fast short-track XC races and is designed for maximum speed and minimum rolling losses.

The clear race orientation makes the Aspen ST the right choice for fast XC courses and tough battles for position on compact surfaces. The focus is clearly on efficiency and speed, when every watt should be converted as directly as possible into propulsion.

In this version, the Aspen ST combines EXO Protection with the MaxxSpeed rubber compound and the tubeless-ready construction for XC racing with a focus on minimum rolling resistance, maximum efficiency and high speed on fast racing tracks.

Technologies:

• EXO PROTECTION
EXO Protection is an extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant protective layer on the sidewall of selected MTB, Gravel and Metro tyres from MAXXIS. The tightly woven material is designed to be both light and flexible, so that the performance of the tyres is affected as little as possible.

• MaxxSpeed
MaxxSpeed is a high-silica rubber compound from MAXXIS for XC racing. The compound is designed to reduce rolling resistance compared to 3C MaxxSpeed and also improve wet grip. In the laboratory test, rolling resistance was measured to be around 25 % lower than 3C MaxxSpeed with identical tread, tyre construction and air pressure.

• TUBELESS READY [TR] 
In the MAXXIS range, Tubeless Ready [TR] refers to tyres with a construction that is designed for tubeless use with a sealant, a compatible tubeless rim or matching rim tape. The system enables lower air pressures and is intended to improve traction and ride quality, while reducing the rolling resistance. In addition, minor damages can be sealed directly by the sealant, which reduces the risk of breakdowns.
