How to use the frame compartment and USB-C port on the Backroad

Opening and filling the frame compartment
To open the compartment, slide the locking lever to the side and then gently lift the top of the cover. From this position, it can be easily pulled upward.
When filling the frame compartment, make sure to secure hard and heavy items with bags or similar items to prevent them from shifting around, so that neither they nor the frame are damaged.
To close it, first insert the cover into the lower retaining tabs, then place the upper part on top and turn the locking lever to its original position.
The frame compartment cover can be fitted with a bottle cage and can hold up to 800 grams.
Connecting and securing the power bank
Open the frame compartment and take out the tool bag.
Loosen the top screw of the three screws on the underside of the down tube. While doing this, hold the mounting rail inside the frame compartment with one hand. Once the screw is completely loosened, you can remove the mounting rail.
Secure your power bank to the mounting rail using cable ties, insert it together, and tighten the rail again with a maximum torque of 2 Nm.
Plug the pre-fitted micro-USB cable into your power bank, or connect it first to the included USB-C adapter.
Charging via the USB-C port
The USB-C port can be used to charge your devices or recharge compatible power banks (requires a power bank with a bidirectional USB-C port).
Remove the dust cap from the USB-C port and connect a USB-C cable of the appropriate length and with the correct connector type to connect smartphones, battery-powered lights, or bike computers.
Attach your device to the handlebars or stem using a compatible mount, or place it in a lockable frame bag.
To charge the power bank, grab a compatible power adapter, plug it into a socket, and connect it to the USB-C port under the handlebars.
